FOREST SCHOOL

We have waterproof dungarees for each child in school. This means we can be completely flexible and enjoy our outdoor learning throughout the week.

At Himbleton we are fortunate to have extensive outdoor grounds, within which we have a variety of Forest School sites, enabling us to integrate the outdoors fully in to our unique and carefully designed curriculum.

All children have a designated Forest School session – led by Mrs Griffiths, our accredited Forest School leader – every week. During Forest School children develop a wide range of important life and learning skills, as well as developing their knowledge and understanding of the world in a progressive way.

The outdoors is expertly incorporated to develop learning in other curriculum areas, including English and Mathematics, to ensure that the needs of all learners are met.
